Recipe: Iced Golden Milk

Eating seasonally is a wonderful way to boost your health. In November, we're loving Iced Golden Milk. This cooled-down version of the classic Golden Milk recipe is a splendidly festive drink with all the smells of the holidays, but nice and frosty to serve as a Southern Hemisphere sip in summertime.

It’s also loaded with antioxidants. Turmeric, especially, contains strong antioxidants that can help lower the risk for infections and disease, and paves the way for very happy skin.

TOP TIP! You can also pre-batch your Golden Milk mixture.

To make a batch that will yield 12 servings combine the following in a jar with a tight-fitting lid (it will last for up to a year):

  • ⅓ cup ground turmeric
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons ground ginger
  • ¾ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¾ teaspoon fine sea salt
When you are ready to make your drink, you can then add a teaspoon of this mixture to a mug along with the vanilla, honey/maple syrup and milk of choice. This premix also makes a great gift over the holidays!
